Beth Lee O'Brien

Beth O'Brien, age 63, of Bloomington, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2026, surrounded by the love of her family and friends. Beth was born to Lois and Gerald Engstrom and grew up in Golden Valley with her sister, Kimberly, and brother, Michael. She graduated from Armstrong High School in 1981 and attended the University of Minnesota. Following her education, Beth enjoyed a successful career as a sales executive, where her warmth, determination and ability to connect with others made a lasting impression. Beth cherished time spent with her family, especially her nieces and nephews and the many friends she considered family. She had a remarkable gift for making people feel welcome, loved and valued. Her generous spirit and kind heart touched countless lives and will be deeply missed. Beth had a passion for crafting, but jewelry making held a special place in her heart. She lovingly created pieces that were often given as gifts to celebrate life's milestones, turning special occasions into lasting memories. Beth shared 38 wonderful years of marriage with her beloved husband, Bruce. Together they built a life filled with love, friendship and unwavering devotion. Through every season of life, Bruce was her steadfast partner, greatest supporter, and constant source of strength. Their enduring love was an inspiration to all who knew them. Beth was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and Gerald Engstrom; her brother-in-law, Kevin O'Brien; and her niece, Catherine O'Brien. She is survived by her husband, Bruce; her sister, Kimberly Marceau (Andrew); her brother, Michael; her nieces, Kelly, Meredith, Michaela, and Emma; her nephews, Ryan, Patrick, Jack, Tyler, and William; and many other beloved relatives and dear friends. The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Beth's caregiver, Claire, whose compassion brought comfort, dignity, and friendship to Beth. The family also extends their gratitude to the care team at M Health Fairview Southdale for the exceptional care they provided Beth during her final days. Memorials are preferred to the American Diabetes Association or the Pinky Swear Foundation.
