Stanley Lucht

Stanley Lucht, lovingly known as "Stan the Man", passed peacefully at 102 years old with family and friends at his side on September 22, 2024. Stanley was born on February 11, 1922, in Edmore, North Dakota. Stanley embarked on a journey through life that was marked by joy, love, and a deep connection with his family and friends. In 1944, he married Mildred and they shared a bond that lasted a lifetime. Throughout his career, Stanley found his calling in sales, where his friendly demeanor and dedication shone through. He eventually rose to the role of owner at an appliance and furniture store in Grand Forks, North Dakota, where his skills and charisma left a lasting impact on those around him. Stanley was a devoted father to his two sons and their spouses: Dwight and Hazelann in Minneapolis, along with Terry and Mary in Houston. He took immense pride in his role as a grandfather to Deanna, Alex, Patty, and Christine. As a great-grandfather to seven, he cherished the time spent creating memories and sharing stories with each new generation. His seven great grandchildren are Henry, Gavin, Hayden, Hanna, Claire, Emma and Ellis. They all enjoyed his companionship and joking personality. Known for his vibrant spirit and love for conversation, Stanley had a zest for life that was truly admirable. His wife Mildred and he had an unstoppable love of dancing. Through their life together this was a great source of joy for them. He and Mildred also shared a passion for travel, exploring destinations near and far, from the picturesque shores of Hawaii to the rich cultural tapestries of Italy, Holland, Dubai, and Spain. In his final days, Stanley found peace at Founder's Ridge Senior Living facility in Bloomington, Minnesota, surrounded by the warmth and care of his family and friends. In his last few years he was able to enjoy time spent with several folks who came in and helped to care for him including Sharry and Claire. Stanley Lucht's legacy lives on through the hearts of those he touched with his kindness, wisdom, and laughter. As we bid farewell to a remarkable man, may his memory be a source of comfort and strength for all who had the privilege of knowing him. Rest in peace, Stan the Man. Memorial Service for Stan Lucht will be held on Thursday, October 17, at 2 PM at Founders Ridge, 6600 Auto Club Road, Bloomington, MN 55438.
