Sharon Kathleen Harris

Sharon Kathleen Harris passed away on May 7th, 2026 at Autumn Glen Senior living in Coon Rapids, Mn after a six month illness. Her final days were spent in the company of loved ones and she took her last breath on her son Christopher's birthday- he was fittingly by her side. Sharon was born on November 6th, 1942 to Eleanor and George Beadle in Albert Lea, Mn. George and Eleanor began taking Sharon and her brother Bruce to The North Shore when they were young children. Her parents instilled in her a great love for Lake Supierior that never faded- it is a love that she shared with her own child... she loved it so much she requested it as her final resting place. As a young child Sharon attended a tiny school in southern Minnesota. She went on to Robbinsdale High School. After graduation Sharon married Charles Harris in 1962. They joyfully welcomed their only child Christopher in 1973. Sharon worked for decades in Human Resources in higher educational environments as well as for the department of corrections where she thrived as an investigator. She greatly valued education and proudly earned a bachelors degree over the years. Sharon and Chuck amicably divorced after 32 years. She continued to enjoy her work and numerous hobbies that included reading, writing poetry and making jewelry,(which became a sideline business with customers around the world). When it became too physically difficult to work with intricate beads Sharon turned to photography- a passion that clearly defined not just her talent but her deep and abiding love for the whole of life. She found beauty in everything and made the smallest of objects works of art. Her photos of her beloved Lake Superior, Split Rock Lighthouse, birds, butterflies- all of nature are stunningly beautiful. She loved sharing her creations on Facebook for friends and family to enjoy. Sharon was blessed to find love again in Bill Newlin and they were partners for 28 years. She is survived by him, her brother Bruce Beadle, her son Christopher Harris,(Jennifer Capauch), her nieces Julia Briese,(John), Paula Beadle,(Brian Kemkes), Sarah Beadle Zappa,(Stanley Zappa), numerous great nieces and nephews as well as many dear family and friends. Special thanks must be given to Bonnie Harper- Lore for the time, attention and support she provided to Sharon and Christopher while Sharon was ill. Sharon is preceded in death by her parents George Beadle, Eleanor Beadle, her ex-husband Charles Harris, sister-in-law Nancy Beadle and her Great nephew Nicholas Briese. We look forward to celebrating Sharon's incredible life and will provide celebration plans as they are available.
