Reed Robert Schultz

Reed Robert Schultz, age 19, passed away unexpectedly on June 15th, 2025. He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Luetta Schultz, and grandfather, John Millner. Reed was born in Retalhuleu, Guatemala on November 7th, 2005, and was brought home to Minnesota at age one on November 23rd, 2006. Heather and Jason fell in love with him from the day they saw his picture. They spent years wishing, waiting, and planning for him to be a forever part of their family. Reed was the blessing they had been praying for. He grew up in Savage, Minnesota and graduated from Burnsville High School in 2024. He was working for Prescription Landscape in Shakopee, Minnesota as he was finding what direction he wanted to take into adulthood. Reed loved making connections with people of all ages. His love for sports, fishing, snowmobiling, music, and video games made it easy for him to start a conversation with anyone he met. Reed began playing baseball at age 5 and the sport helped him grow as a young person and it was where he made many connections with so many people. He learned multiple life lessons from his coaches along the way. Reed - also known as Reedo or Reedo Torpedo - will be remembered as someone who made others laugh. He was a great storyteller and an encouraging friend. He spent many of his childhood weekends at his grandparent's cabin in Ashby, MN on Pelican Lake. Reed is survived by his mother and father, Heather and Jason; great grandmother, Lois Olesen; grandmother, Susan Millner; grandfather, Charlie Schultz; Aunts and Uncles, Scot and Holly Schultz, Heidi and Julie Robole, Jeremy and Kim Schultz; Cousins, Cooper (Becky), Bella, Dru, Leo, Palmer and Sunny; along with many other family and friends. Services to celebrate Reed's life will begin with a visitation on Tuesday, June 24th from 4:00-8:00pm. The funeral service be on Wednesday, June 25th at 11:00am with a visitation one hour before. A lunch will be provided following the service. Both the service and visitation will be held at Shepherd of the Lake Lutheran Church, 3611 N Berens Rd NW, Prior Lake, MN 55379.
