Patricia Jean (Lynch) Taylor Age 88 passed away peacefully at home in Edina, MN on February 11, 2026, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on March 11, 1937, in St. Paul, MN and on February 27, 1960, married her soulmate, Richard Taylor. Their marriage was a beautiful partnership built on devotion and family. After Richard's passing in 1997, she carried his memory in her heart for the rest of her life. From 1997 to 2021 she wintered in Palm Desert, where she built lasting friendships, tended to her beautiful rose bushes, and created many happy memories. She was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church where she volunteered and attended 4:00 pm mass every Saturday. Those years brought her companionship, sunshine, and community. She lived her life grounded in prayer, service, and unwavering trust in God. Her faith sustained her through life's joys and sorrows and shaped the compassionate way she cared for others. Caring for others was not just something she did - it was who she was. Throughout her adult life, she devoted herself to tending to ill family members and friends, offering steady hands and a generous heart whenever she was needed. She loved sharing stories of her life and adventures, each one filled with personality, humor, and wisdom. She loved shopping and was rarely seen without a perfectly matched outfit, bold colors, and animal print. She paired her outfits with her beloved chunky jewelry that perfectly reflected her vibrant personality. Her purse was always filled with anything you might possibly need, including her famous airplane-safe mini scissors, ready for any situation. A true do-it-yourself woman, she was independent and resourceful, living with strength and confidence that inspired those around her. As master handywoman, she could fix anything and was not afraid to take on a project herself. Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. Nothing lit up her face more than talking about them, attending their events, or simply spending time together. They were the greatest blessing of her later years. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and friend whose strength, faith, and steady presence anchored her family. Her legacy lives on in the love she gave, the faith she modeled, and the countless lives she quietly cared for. She was preceded in death by her husband, Dick Taylor; her father, Thomas Lynch; her mother, Bertha Lynch; and her sister, Mary Ann Zappa, and many other relatives. She is survived by her daughter, Kaki Haug (Jeff), her son, Tom Taylor (Anne); and her beloved grandchildren, Patrick, Ben, Megan, Nate, Julia, and Molly. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Patrick's Catholic Church, Edina MN on Thursday, April 9th, at 11:00 a.m with visitation one hour prior. A luncheon will follow the Mass. Please park in the west parking lot off Gleason Road and enter through the Mahon Center. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to St. Jude Children's Hospital or Tunnels to Towers Foundation.
