Michelle Lynn Bermel

"Chelle", Age 45 of Mounds View, MN. Formerly of Rockford MN Passed peacefully with her family by her side on June 30th. Preceded in death by her Grandparents, Bernard and Shirley Bermel, Grandfather Dale Patnode, Cousin Larry Bermel, Uncle Kenny Treptau, Niece Dezirae Rose. Survived by Father Gary (Chris) Bermel, Mother Dannea Bermel, daughter Mikala, Sons Terrell and Keenan, Granddaughter Aviannah, Sisters Sheree Bermel, Bobbi Jo (Kurt) Henricks, Carrie (Reed) Scarfino, Cody (Annalisa) Bermel, many aunts and uncles, cousins, and her beloved nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews, and many friends that loved her dearly. Michelle was called Home way too soon after fighting a courageous battle with Cancer. She was the most graceful and strong warrior many of us had the pleasure of ever witnessing. She endured 18 rounds of chemo with a smile on her face. She was so thankful for all the love and support during that difficult time that she included a note in her living will for all of you that stated "I just want all my family and friends to know how much I love and appreciate all the love and support I have been given and to always love and protect each other as life is too short and family and love is so important. I am truly blessed." Her generosity, loving spirit, and nurturing heart live on in those she touched. Michelle loved nothing more than being surrounded by her loved ones. Her motto in life was "family over everything". She was the oldest of all children and loved being a big Sister. She was the favorite "auntie" by all her nieces and nephews because of her joyous self - and she always had candy. Michelle loved being a mother and adored her children, they were all so close, like best of friends. What she loved even more was being a Grandma. In March of 2015 during the most difficult time in her journey her spirit was lifted and a miracle occurred. Her only grandchild was born, Granddaughter Aviannah. Aviannah was the love of her life, and brought to her a renewed sense of energy and drive that strengthened her will to fight. Sometimes the littlest feet leave the biggest footprints on our hearts. We are going to miss her dearly -- Michelle will live in our hearts forever. In July, on her birthday, we will be hosting a grand "celebration of life" in her honor. We hope you will join us this upcoming Wednesday, July 6th to surround her young children with love and support. Feel free to bring pictures, stories and memories of Chelle.
