Marianne (Pribble) Wasnick

Wasnick, Marianne L. (nee Pribble) Died February 6, age 79. Born Marian Pribble on May 12, 1926 to J. Glenn Pribble & Hazel Lundeen, the oldest of eight children. She graduated from Patrick Henry and the University of MN and was proud of her brief career as a Med Tech and was a loyal U of M alumni. Married in 1948 to Lloyd Wasnick, who predeceased her in 1996 after 48 years of marriage. Marianne and Lloyd were longtime residents of Crystal and New Hope, lastly living in Brooklyn Center. While raising her three children was her first priority, she was active in school, community, church and Republican politics throughout her life and was a hockey mom to her sons. Her church, Brunswick United Methodist, was a center for her life and she served it for 47 years. Akeley UM was her summer church and she loved attending worship and events there. She loved her grandchildren and great-grandchild, her church family, being "up North" at the lake, watching sports, especially the Gophers, and one good chocolate with her after-dinner coffee. Marianne was predeceased by her parents and husband, Lloyd; youngest son, Larry Wasnick; sister, Evelyn Johnson and brother, James Pribble. She is survived by daughter, Linda Browning; son, Jeff Wasnick (Roxane Goss); daughter-in-law, Pat Albrecht (the late Larry Wasnick); sisters, Marilyn Forseth (Steve), Virginia Nelson, Beverly Ness; brothers, Ralph Pribble (Elaine) and Russell Carlstrom and sister-in-law, Ruby Pribble (the late James); granddaughters, Jamie Wasnick, Lisa Browning, Katie Browning, Danielle Wasnick and grandsons, Mychal Wasnick, Alex Wasnick; great-grandson, Sam Eckert and many dear nieces, nephews and friends. The life of this beloved mother and grandmother will be celebrated in a funeral service, Thursday, Feb. 9 at 11 AM at Brunswick United Methodist Church, Crystal, with reviewal one hour prior to service Thursday at church and also Wednesday, Feb. 8 from 4 to 7 PM at Washburn-McReavy Robbinsdale Chapel. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens. Memorials will be used for the BUMC Youth Mission Trip, Partners in Praise Girls Choir, and the U of M Alumni Fund.
