Louaine Charlotte Larson

Louaine C. Larson Louaine Larson was born on October 28, 1921, in Minneapolis, MN to John and Ethel Carlson. She passed away June 11, 2026 at Farmstead Assisted Living, where she was a resident for many years. At the time of her death she was under hospice care. She was preceded in death by husband, Alonzo Larson; son, Harlan Larson; brother, Harvey Carlson; her parents; in-laws Henry and Ella Larson; sister and brother-in-laws Marlys Miche, Stan and Gloria Schultz, Rodger and Marie Larson, Fran Larson; nephew, Harvey Carlson, Jr.; niece, Fay Chestnut; and special friend Fran Wicklund. Survived by daughter, Judy (Gary), The Villages, FL; daughter-in-law, Barb Larson, Isanti, MN; grandchildren, Lonnie Larson, Shelley Mann, Ryan Glass (Karrie); great grandchildren, Sean Mann, Caitlin (Hayden) Johnson, Brendan Messner, Madeline Park (Chris), Gavin Glass (Rachel), and Dylan Glass; and great, great granddaughter, Avelynn Glass. Also nieces, nephews, friends and dancing friends. And we cannot forget the granddogs, Ace and Storm, whose visits delighted her. Louaine loved to dance. She danced many times a week and was also interested in keeping fit. Walking was a regular exercise with friends, but often went off by herself because they walked too slow. Could be a reason she reached 104 years of age. She also was a very creative person, always figuring out how to do things and use whatever she had, not much waste. She lived simply, grew up poor but said she didn't realize she was poor. Her fun was family together, dancing, playing music, handmade gifts, etc. Dolls were her obsession. She loved to play cards, knit, crochet, read, Scrabble, etc. If she did not have anyone to play Scrabble with, she played by herself, and she always won, even though the "other player" got the best tiles. She also was introduced to using a computer/Ipad and was so excited about it and wished she had learned earlier. She played games and Words With Friends for quite some time. Louaine's love of her family, her faith, compassion and kindness towards others made her loved by all. She never had an unkind word to say about anyone. Special thanks to everyone at Farmstead Assisted Living for the exceptional care given to Louaine -especially Mary Peterson, and the hospice team. There will be no funeral. A graveside service will be held for immediate family at a later date.
