Kenneth Clement Zeik

Our deeply loved husband, dad, and grandpa, Ken Zeik, age 79, passed away on July 8, 2026. A proud graduate of Hopkins High School, Ken is preceded in death by his parents, Clement and Beulah Zeik, and his sisters Judy, Janice, and Carol. He is survived by his wife Nancy, children Amy and Ken, and grandchildren Isle and Rye Zeik. Ken was born in Minneapolis and spent most of his childhood in what is now Eden Prairie. He met Nancy at age 12 when they lived across the street from each other. What began as childhood friendship grew into young love - Ken holding Nancy's books and proudly wearing his letter sweater beside her in the Hopkins High School yearbook. They were married 56 years. He later graduated from the University of Minnesota and built a successful career in sales, spending many years at Advance Machine Company, where he formed lifelong friendships. Ken always looked at the bright side and could find a silver lining in any situation. His positivity was contagious. He was kind, patient, and genuinely interested in everyone he met. He made people feel welcome, seen, and valued, and he went out of his way to make sure his family and friends felt loved. He was also a lifelong prankster - April Fools' Day was practically a holiday to him. His jokes, humor, and playful spirit brought joy to countless people over the years. Ken was a devoted father, present at every sport, dance, or school event his kids participated in. His fatherly warmth extended to his children's friends, who were welcomed as part of the family. That same sense of hospitality and fun carried through to neighbors, coworkers, and anyone lucky enough to cross his path. Nancy and Ken built a wonderful life for their family in Plymouth, MN. They cherished vacations up north - resorts, camping trips, hiking, boating - and dreamed of owning a lake cabin. In 1992, they made that dream a reality, creating decades of memories and forming deep friendships with their lake neighbors who quickly became family. Ken enjoyed a nightly cocktail (usually scotch) and loved hearing about everyone's day. He took pride in working around the house and tackling lake projects, and he never went a day without a sweet treat. Ken lived with joy, generosity, and gratitude. His laughter, kindness, and unwavering optimism will be deeply missed and forever remembered. Memorial to be held on Thursday July 23, 2026 with 10am visitation, 11am service with lunch to follow.
