Katrina Michele Sparks, Wife, Mother, Daughter, Sister, & Friend, age 36 of Blaine, passed away suddenly on August 20, 2023. Katrina held many titles and meant so much to so many. Her unexpected passing has left a void in the hearts of all who knew her. Katrina graduated from White Bear Lake High School in 2005. She had a strong work ethic that was proven at a young age of 14 when she started her first job at Culvers where she worked throughout high school. Eventually this job turned into so much more than just a job. It was her career for 13 years. She was an amazing boss and mentor. Culvers is also where she met many lifelong friends and the love of her life, her husband Ben. Katrina was a devoted mother to Piper & Krew and was a loving wife to Ben. She brought joy and warmth to their lives every day. They were her world and she loved them so much. She leaves behind nothing but beautiful memories for them. Katrina was also a dedicated employee of Integrity/Medlogix for 8 years. She loved her job and coworkers. The flexibility allowed Katrina to spend more time with Piper & Krew which was of upmost importance. The simplest pleasures in life brought great joy to Katrina. She loved just being at home curled up on the couch with a good book, time spent with family and friends, weekends at the lake, church services at EBC, shopping & coffee outings, riding her Peloton, and her newfound hobby; her garden, that she was so very proud of. Fall & Christmas were her favorite times of the year. From the weather, to the memories and traditions she created for her and her family during these months truly brought her great joy. You could always expect to see her Christmas tree up and fully decorated on November 1st. Katrina was one of a kind. Her legacy of love and kindness will continue to inspire us all. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her. Katrina was preceded in death by her grandfathers, Reuben Winter and Donald Heimerl. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 10 years, Ben Sparks; children, Piper and Krew; parents, Michele Winter and Russ Heimerl; sister, Kelsey (Frank) Bassett; grandmas, Katie Winter and Agnes Heimerl; parents-in-law, Steve and Dianne Sparks; sisters-in-law, Megan (Patrick) Lee and Jenny Honmyhr; nieces, Layla and Stella; many loving aunts, uncles, family, and friends. A celebration of life will be held on Monday August 28, from 1-4 PM with a brief homily at 3PM at 7 Vines Vineyard, 101 MN-96, Dellwood, MN. Memorial service will be Wednesday August 30 at 10:30 AM with visitation at 9:30 AM at Eagle Brook Church, 3603 95th Ave. NE, Blaine. Being that Katrina's favorite holiday was Christmas, in lieu of flowers, please bring a Christmas ornament to either day to hang on the tree from your own personal collection or one that reminds you of Katrina. This tree will then be put up every year by Piper and Krew in honor of their mom.
