Kari’s obituary Kari Lindbom Pask, age 49, of Coon Rapids, Minnesota, passed away at her home on October 28, 2020. Kari was born on November 4, 1970, in St. Paul, Minnesota, the daughter of Wayne and Lucille (Heck) Lindbom and first grandchild for both sets of grandparents. Kari grew up in Oakdale, Minnesota, and spent many of her summers at the family cabin near Outing where she played cards, made beautiful crafts, and spent time on the lake with her family. She graduated from Tartan High School in 1989 where she made her younger cousins jealous with her fabulous 80s hair styles. Kari was committed to serving the public throughout her career with the United States Postal Service and the Minnesota Department of Motor Vehicles doing whatever she could to make people’s lives better. She was armed with pro tips about the intricacies of title transfers and getting a halfway decent driver’s license picture. Kari embraced Minnesota’s four seasons (well, not really winter) by baking different foods each season with her mom, sister, and their children. Her favorite fall dish was Grandma Heck’s apple slices. For holidays, she loved Great Grandma Grundhauser’s rolls, and she was always up for eating squeaky cheese curds brought across the border by her Wisconsin cousins. Kari was a devoted wife and mother, always cheering from the sidelines at sporting events. She was a deeply loyal friend with a huge heart who will be remembered for her unwavering love for her family and friends. A true caregiver, Kari was always available to listen and support anyone who needed some extra love and attention, and she cared for herself by prioritizing “Kari Time.” Kari’s loving influence is reflected through the lives of her family and friends. She is survived by her husband, Ted, their children Kaitlin, Matthew, Aric, and McKenna, and granddaughter, Abby; her parents, Lucille (Heck) and Wayne Lindbom; sister, Jennifer (Andy) Hammer; nephew, Masyn; niece, Sydney; and aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends who love her fiercely. Kari is preceded in death by her grandparents, Anna (Grundhauser) and Leslie (Pat) Heck; Roy and Helen (Graczkowski) Lindbom; and uncle, William Heck.
