"Jonny" Jonathan Edward Jedlicka

"Jonny" Jonathan Edward Jedlicka, age 25, passed away unexpectedly on May 4, 2023. Jonny was born at Mercy Hospital in Coon Rapids shortly after 5 AM to the tune of a rerun of the television show, Happy Days. He spent his first 12 years growing up in Champlin, MN chasing after his older brothers. He looked up to his older brothers and sister, and they are all so proud to have had him for their little brother! Growing up next to the park reserve, he enjoyed catching snakes (really any small critter or bug) bike riding, skate boarding, basketball at the park and hanging out with his older brothers and friends. Jonny spent his young adult life in Ramsey, with a large part in the Anoka-Coon Rapids area chasing his hopes, dreams, and ambitions and growing to become an amazing, kindhearted young man. Jonny also known as "Subaru Blue" has been a member of the on-line gaming community playing for the past 15 years which became a huge (sometimes too huge) daily part of Jonny's life. His online gaming friends became family to Jonny, and he loved them all, especially Zo, LJ, and Big C Jonny worked at U-Haul for almost 5 years, in the shop at Coon Rapids as a Pre-Inspection Specialist. He planned on making it his lifelong career. His manager, Bruce, had a way of making him realize he must work hard for things that are important him and gave him the motivation to do so. The guys in the shop taught Jonny how to work hard, succeed, and have fun at the same time. Jonny had many he looked up to in the shop including his work dad, Jason, work brothers, Brandon and Spencer, and many other work brothers he enjoyed working with. They were such a great support system and a positive influence and helped shape him into the beautiful man he became and I am forever grateful he found them. Even though, "What's for Dinner?" seemed to be Jonnys favorite phrase, he loved to cook. He developed excellent cooking skills, especially when he made pulled pork, bacon cheeseburgers, and chicken wings. He loved to use the smoker. He had a special obsession with small kitchen appliances, our countertops and cupboards are full. He also somehow found a way of not ever having to do the dishes. While he loved to cook, he also loved to eat good food. Jonny felt home cooking is always best, he really enjoyed his Gramma Kathy's, especially her chicken wild rice casserole or David's tater-tot hotdish. However, he also enjoyed his takeout with a special love of Culvers, Kwiktrip, and any Chinese takeout or buffet. Jonny loved to enjoy a bottle of wine or hard seltzers while watching the UFC and Basketball with his gaming buddies. We gave him a hard time about this, but he didn't care, he loved that time with his gaming bros. He also had a special love for Grape Swishers. Jonny was not much into his clothes, preferring sweats and t-shirts. He seemed to wear U-Haul apparel of some sort often. However, he had a love of fancy shoes, especially Jordans. On occasions when he had to dress up he would break out his fancy black Jordans. Jonny had a fascination and love for fast cars and motorcycles, with a dream of owning a Subaru blue WRX. Jonny could make you laugh no matter what the topic. Between the one-liners and the looks he gave, he could always make you smile. He had a great sense of humor in a quitter sort of way. He had an amazing laugh, I was lucky to find it on video, it's a treasure! Jonny was a big advocate of minding his own business in a sense, but when it came to his business, his family and friends he always took care of it with no hesitation. He will be remembered as being very dedicated and loyal to his family and friends. Although, the youngest in the family, he was an old soul that kept us all grounded. Jonny will be greatly missed by all who knew him. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Edward and Corrine Jedlicka, and Paul Lehner and best friend, Owen N. Sherer. He will be deeply missed by his parents, Karen Jedlicka and Gerald (Amy) Jedlicka; siblings, Christine Pederson, Joseph Jedlicka, and Jake (Tasha) Jedlicka; grandmothers, Kathy "Gramma" Lehner and Kitty Lehner; nieces, Charlotte "Peach" and Eva; auntie Pam (Lehner) Lundell and uncle Rob; cousin Mandie Lundell; best friends, Alonzo Byers and Nathan W., his Coon Rapids U-Haul family, especially Jonny's work Dad, Jason White and work brothers Brandon Brotzel, Spencer Roesler and all the brothers in the shop, and Jonny's "Subaru Blue" Gaming family especially Zo, LJ, and Big C; close family friends CJ, David, Jimbo, and Ricky and other aunts, uncles, and many other loving family and friends too numerous to count and name. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Celebration of life will be Saturday, May 20 at 3 PM with visitation at 2 PM at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel, 5125 W Broadway Ave., Crystal.
