Faith Ann Shaw

Faith Shaw went to be with her Savior on February 25, 2023. She is survived by her loving husband of 53 years; Phil; children, Christina (Paul) Daniels and Luke (Brooke); grandchildren, Ana-Karina and Isaiah Daniels, Henry, Penelope and Samuel Shaw; siblings, Constance, Tom, Hope, Becky, Jon, Charity, Jim, Lynnea, Jane, and Mary Jo and their spouses. Born in 1944, the oldest of 11 children to the late Rev. Raymond and Ruby Reine, as a young child she accepted the Lord as her Savior. This decision sparked a fire in her heart to do everything she could to serve the Lord. As a young girl she sang with her parents in street ministry as her father played the guitar and she held the music. Faith's school years were spent in Paynesville, MN As a Junior in high school she competed in a Girls State Speech competition and took first place. During her senior year, she had the lead part in a play about Anne Frank, memorizing the entire monologue. She played clarinet in the school band and switched to playing bassoon when the band had no-one to play. Faith took it upon herself to learn that instrument. She sang as a soloist as well as many trios and singing groups. She was Homecoming Queen at Paynesville High School as well as Evangel College, Springfield, Missouri. Faith graduated from Evangel College in 1967 with a teaching degree and started her career in California. After one year, she moved back to Minnesota where she met Phil Shaw at bible camp. They were married in 1970 and started their ministry together. For 42 years she faithfully supported her husband as a pastor's wife. In addition she taught full time as an elementary teacher before continuing her education to become a special education specialist. She was an excellent pianist, able to play by ear and read music. Faith participated in radio ministry, sang and played piano and organ in special events and ceremonies her whole adult life. She recorded gospel music albums as well as a solo CD. She loved all people and in return people loved her. Faith never stopped searching for ways to lift up Jesus. She walked with style, grace and love. Funeral service to be held Thursday, March 9th at 2PM at Washburn-McReavy Glen Haven Chapel. Visitation beginning at 1PM. Reception to follow at 3PM.
