Charlotte "Charlie" Annibelle Howard

Three Months, Six Days Young Passed away peacefully in her sleep early Monday morning March twenty-third, 2009 from complications of SIDS. Daughter of Travis Howard and Kearstin Richter Howard; Granddaughter of John and Sandy Howard, Craig and Katharine Richter; Great Granddaughter of John and Dorothy Howard, Bob and Alice Hartley, Irvin and Jean Richter, Carl and Carolyn Rowe; Niece of Logan Howard, Hans Richter; Twin Sister of Maxwell Richter Howard; Friend to many. The loss of a parent produces an orphan, to lose a spouse makes a widow or widower, but there has not been a word yet invented that is horrible enough to describe the loss suffered by a parent of their child - devastated is too weak a word for all that had come to know her. Charlie was a lover of dancing to the music of the Big Chill, singing with her Grandma Richter, being bounced by her Grandpa Howard, swatting and kicking her brother Max and the recipient of absolute adoration and affection from her parents. Her big blue eyes awoke not something as simple as a village, but something more wonderful than an entire world of family to raise her. From those related by blood to those related by love and deemed fairy godparents; they brought her parents dinner, they came to visit, they offered their loving arms and smiles unconditionally. For this reason, for this communion, all are welcome at this table, all are considered family and all are invited to this celebration of Charlie's too brief life. Visitation will be held at Holcomb-Henry-Boom (515 Highway 96 - Shoreview, 55126) from 5pm to 7pm Friday, March twenty-seventh. The funeral service at 11am Saturday, March twenty-eighth will be preceded by a visitation at 10am and followed by a time for gathering and support at Grace Lutheran Church (1730 Old Hudson Road - Saint Paul, 55106). In lieu of flowers the family is asking those with children to give them an extra long hug and to tell them you love them; those with parents please do the same. For those fortunate enough to be blessed with siblings give them an extra swat of an I-Love-You from Charlie to Max.
