Chuck (Charles) Everett Moburg December 12, 1949 - June 26, 2025 Chuck (Charles) Everett Moburg passed away at home, peacefully in his sleep, on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at the age of 75. Chuck was born and raised in Lake Forest, Illinois, to Everett and Wanda Moburg (Baier). He graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where he was a member of the Alpha Delta Phi Fraternity. Upon entering the workforce, his sales job brought him to the Twin Cities, and he resided in Long Lake, Minnesota until his passing. He enjoyed outdoor activities like camping, canoeing, gardening, and birdwatching. He was a jack of all trades who preferred to complete projects with his own two hands. He was a lifelong subscriber to every National Geographic publication and read his Bible daily for many years. One of his passions was drumming and he performed in several bands beginning in his teenage years through his later life. His greatest passion, though, was his family. Chuck is survived by his children: son Charlie Moburg (Kelly Miller-Moburg), and daughter Margaret Moburg. He was the proud grandpa to Charlie and Kelly's son, Lincoln, and was eagerly awaiting the arrival of their second child at the time of his passing. He is also survived by sister Virginia Yardley (Stan) and niece Jennifer Stein and family. He is preceded in death by his parents, Everett and Wanda Moburg, and nephew Jeffrey Yardley. A source of pride for Chuck was providing the opportunity for his family to live together in a multi-generational home. As a newly single father, Chuck's parents moved from Florida to Minnesota to help him raise his children in their family duplex. His selfless caring for his parents in their elder years provided the blueprint for his son Charlie to do the same. In his later years, with Charlie, Kelly and Lincoln just a floor away, Chuck was well cared for and was able to stay in the home he loved so much with his family at the time of his passing. Chuck gave many invaluable gifts to his children. He shared his love of music, teaching Charlie to play drums and encouraging him to learn bass guitar, and supporting Margaret playing flute and electric guitar. He and Charlie performed in the band "Handshake Deal" together and covered songs of the 60s and 70s. He took his children on camping trips every summer and taught them the name of each of the plants and trees in the yard. He encouraged academics and a love of learning, and helped his children explore their passions to the fullest. He was a wonderful dad and will be missed greatly.
