Carrie Marie Beaton

Carrie Marie Beaton, age 62, of Eden Prairie, MN, passed away on March 28th, 2024, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. Born on March 26th, 1962, she was the beloved daughter of Bonnie and Dennis Durand. She graduated from Spring Lake Park High School, and went on to attend the University of Minnesota. She married Jay Beaton on May 7th, 1988. Together, they raised a beautiful family and shared many wonderful memories. Carrie's journey/battle with breast cancer began in 2006. She "kicked cancer's butt" and spent many years cancer free. However, in 2019, she was re-diagnosed, facing this challenge with the same unwavering strength and determination that defined her character. Carrie's kindness, strength, and zest for life will forever be remembered by those fortunate enough to have known her. She had a gift for building strong relationships and had a wide circle of friends who will miss her dearly. Her warm and caring nature touched the lives of many, and she will be remembered for her kindness, humor, and love for life. Additionally, as a "Friend of Bill," Carrie was a beacon of support and understanding for many who shared in a similar journey. Carrie found joy in many things in life, including spending time in her garden, hosting gatherings for friends and family, indulging in her love for shopping, and traveling the world. She explored exotic destinations such as Thailand, Greece, and Spain, as well as traveling throughout the United States and Canada. Carrie had a special place in her heart for Bocas del Toro, Panama, where she visited often and enjoyed the tropical paradise. Carrie is preceded in death by her mother Bonnie and father Dennis. She is survived by her husband Jay, daughter Madison, sons Kyle and Austin, sister Brenda, brother Brian, and many other loving family. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her. Visitation will be held on Thursday, April 11th, from 10:00 to 11:00 AM, followed by a Celebration of Life at 11:00 AM, both at Pax Christi Church, located at 12100 Pioneer Trail, Eden Prairie.
