In Loving Memory of Brent (MAC) Alan McElhaney It is with heavy hearts and profound sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Brent Alan McElhaney, who departed from this world on September 30th, 2023. Brent was taken from us far too soon, leaving a void in the lives of all who knew and loved him. Brent was born on May 24th, 1953 in Sioux City, IA to his loving parents, Ivan Donald McElhaney and Mary Catherine McElhaney. From the very beginning, it was evident that Brent possessed a bright and compassionate spirit that would touch the lives of countless people throughout his journey. Brent was a devoted husband, a cherished son, a caring brother, a supportive father, and a dear friend to many others. His unwavering love and support for his family and friends were truly remarkable, and he had an extraordinary ability to bring laughter and joy to any person who entered his world. Brent's memory will forever be cherished and survived by his beloved wife, Jeanne; mother, Mary; sisters, Lynn (Dave) and Janice (David); sons, Jason (Dian), Michael (Linda), and William (Cindy); grandchildren, Riley, Carolina, Brooke, Sophia and Mia; as well as a host of close family members and friends who were fortunate enough to know him. He leaves behind a legacy of kindness, generosity, and a zest for life that will continue to inspire us all. Brent was an avid sports enthusiast; Golf was a distant second to his love of Baseball. Early on Brent was and nature lover and enjoyed hunting and fishing. Water fowl was his preference until he was introduced to the Walleye. He found solace and inspiration while fishing in the great outdoors. His passion was contagious, and everyone wanted to make a trip with MAC and the Bus. Professionally, Brent was an accomplished Entrepreneur and small store owner, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and peers alike. His dedication, work ethic, and innovative thinking left a lasting mark on his field, and he will be remembered for his significant contributions. As we gather to remember Brent, let us celebrate the beautiful life he lived and the profound impact he made on our hearts. Though he may be gone from our sight, his spirit will live on in the memories we shared and the love we carry in our hearts. A memorial service to honor Brent's life will be held on Saturday, October 28th at 12 PM at St. Bonaventure Catholic Church, 901 E 90th St, Bloomington, MN. Visitation one hour prior. Reception to follow at Knights of Columbus, 1114 American Blvd W, Bloomington, MN. A second memorial service will be held on Saturday, November 11th from 1-4 PM at Cape Coral Elks Lodge, 850 Lafayette St, Cape Coral, FL 33904. Brent Alan McElhaney's departure has left a void that can never be filled, but his memory will forever remain a beacon of light in our lives.
