Arnold Eugene Olson

With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Arnold "Arnie" Olson, who entered into the presence of his Lord and Savior on July 27th, 2026, at the age of 93. Arnie lived a life rooted in faith, love, humility, and service. As a skilled marble mason, he took great pride in his work, leaving behind a legacy of craftsmanship that will stand for generations. The hands that built, repaired, and served so faithfully on earth are now at rest in the hands of the Savior he faithfully trusted. Arnie had a remarkable gift for listening. He made everyone feel heard, valued, and important, offering quiet wisdom, encouragement, and a comforting presence. His family knew they could always count on him, and there was nothing he treasured more than spending time with those he loved. One of the greatest examples of his love was the faithful care he gave to his beloved wife. Through every season of life, Arnie demonstrated Christ-like love, patience, and selflessness, honoring the vows he made and showing his family what true devotion looks like. His life was a beautiful reflection of the words found in Scripture: "Let all that you do be done in love." (1 Corinthians 16:14) Arnie's faith in Jesus Christ was the foundation of his life. While his family grieves his absence, they rejoice in the promise that he is now whole, at peace, and reunited with loved ones in the presence of the Lord. As Jesus said, "I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die." (John 11:25) Arnie is lovingly survived by his devoted wife of 66 years, Elma Olson; his children, Paul Olson, Ann (Paul) Trudeau and Chris (Noelle) Olson; his cherished grandchildren, Ryan (Elise) Trudeau, Emily (Josh) Lemke, Peter Olson, and Andrew (Shea) Olson; and his beloved great-grandchildren, Evelyn and Lucy Trudeau, and Mason, Noah, and Elijah Lemke. Each of them was blessed by Arnie's unconditional love, patient guidance, and steadfast example of faith. His legacy will live on through the family he loved so deeply. He was preceded in death by his parents, Albert and Anne Olson; his siblings, George Olson, Elsie Nelson, Charlotte Waller, Harold Olson, Margaret Robillard, Joyce Lortis, and Harvey Peterson; and his daughter-in-law, Beverly Olson. Though Arnie's earthly journey has come to an end, the legacy of his faith, compassion, and steadfast love will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew him. We take comfort in knowing that this is not goodbye forever, but until we meet again in God's eternal kingdom. Visitation will be held on Saturday, August 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Church, 13801 Fairview Drive, Burnsville, MN 55337. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to either the Salvation Army or Prince of Peace of Church. Family and friends are invited to gather in remembrance, thanksgiving, and the hope found in Jesus Christ as they honor a man whose life reflected God's love so beautifully.
