Roger Thomas Hensen

December 10, 1937 - January 27, 2022

Hensen, Roger Thomas Age 84 of Chanhassen, formerly of Prior Lake. Passed away January 27, 2022. Preceded in death by his parents Walter and Dee (nee Haanen) and his wife Mary Jo (nee Linder). Roger graduated from West High in Mpls and joined USMC in 1955. Roger and Mary Jo married in 1961. Roger was an avid lifelong golfer & a member of Eshquaguma Country Club in Gilbert MN for 50 years. He loved playing golf everywhere he traveled and treasured the time he spent teaching his kids and grandkids to play the game he loved. Roger built his beloved cabin at Lake Eshquaguma in the early 70's, in which he and Mary Jo spent the summers with their children and grandchildren. Roger started his business career working at Northwest Bank in Mpls. Then spent many years selling computer equipment and later owned his own computer business. In 1996, Roger and Mary Jo opened a Rainbow Play Systems dealership in Jacksonville FL. Survived by partner, Mary Louise Meredith; sister, Jane (Bob); children, Lisa (Jim), Susan (Chris), Tom (Lori), Maggie (Matt); grandchildren, Matt, Stephanie, Jacob, Alex, Anya, Claire, Andy, Maddie, Olivia and 8 great grandchildren. Visitation on Saturday, February 5th 10am. Service following at 11am at Washburn-McReavy 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie.
