Schulz, (Stauber) Richard B. 89, of Maple Grove, passed away Aug. 17, 2021. Born Aug. 30, 1931, in Minneapolis he graduated from Robbinsdale HS. Richard proudly served the Navy in the Korean War as a diesel mechanic on the USS Chilton. After the Navy, he attended Mankato State, then began a 23-year career as an educator. On Aug. 16, 1958, he married Joyce Saunders in Montreal, Quebec. Together they raised two children Karen and Tom. Richard is preceded in death by parents Miriam and Martin Schulz, brother Roger, sister Delores Wahlborg. He is survived by wife of 63-years Joyce; children Karen (Dale) Odom, Tom (Pam) Schulz. Grandchildren: Matt, Torri and Jacob Odom, and Nic, Grace (Regan) Herrick and Brady Schulz; twin brother Robert (Corinne), sister June (Roger) Johnson, brothers Ralph (Gladys), Bill (Karen), brothers-in-law Lee Wahlborg, Frank (Nina) Saunders, as well as many nephews, nieces. Also important were many foster siblings. Memorial service at Edinbrook Church, 4300 Edinbrook Pkwy N, Brooklyn Park, April 23 at 11 AM; visitation prior to service at 10 AM. Interment at Fort Snelling, April 22 at 1:15 PM - Lane #4. Memorials preferred to The Salvation Army. Washburn-McReavy 763-533-8643
