Blue, Richard (Dick) Allen Age 75 of Bloomington, passed away January 17, 2022, in the loving arms of his family. Dick's greatest joy was his family, he was a devoted husband, dad, grandpa, brother, uncle and friend. He was a gentle man of great faith who knew and loved God as his Savior. We take comfort in knowing he is now in the presence of Jesus and no longer suffering. He is survived by his loving wife, Karen, children Emily, Audrey (Patrick) Rodvold, and John; grandchildren Elliott and Layla Rodvold; Brothers-in-laws Steve (Jeanne) Delie and Dan Delie; sisters-in-laws Kathy (John) Buske and Teresa (Karl) Tourville; brother Ron. Numerous nieces and nephews and extended family from Nebraska. Dick was a selfless man who served as an Army Medic in the Vietnam War. His kind and gentle demeanor exemplified his character throughout his life. Dick was a longtime employee of the City of Bloomington, retiring in 2010. He spent his retirement years enjoying time with his family, gardening with his grandkids, and spending time at the lake cabin. Celebration of life service at 11:00 am on Friday, Feb. 11, 2022 at St. Michael's Lutheran Church, 9201 Normandale Blvd., Bloomington. Visitation at the church on Thursday, Feb. 10 from 5 to 7 pm, also one hour prior to service beginning at 10 am. Due to Covid we ask that only vaccinated guests attend.
