Richard Lee Benshoof

June 29, 1929 - May 31, 2022

Richard Lee Benshoof, age 92 of Robbinsdale, passed away peacefully on May 31, 2022. Richard was born on June 29, 1929 in Winnebago, Minnesota. He spent his early life helping on the farm and spending time with extended family in the area. He graduated from Blue Earth High School in 1947. Richard served in the Army as a PFC, Company Clerk, during the Korean War. He was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 1 Bronze Service Star and the United Nations Service Medal. He married Louise in 1964. He worked for the United States Post Office for over 30 years before enjoying a long retirement with many trips abroad doing Missions work for youth camps and other organizations. He devotedly took care of Louise through her many health issues right up until his death. Richard was preceded in death by his parents, Milford and Theresa; and brothers, Bob and Everett. He will be deeply missed by his loving wife of 57 years, Louise Benshoof; children, Larry (Beth) and Wayne (Vickie); grandsons, Wyatt, Bryan, Nolan, Brennan, and Leighton. Richard's funeral service will be held on Thursday June 9, 2022 at 1 PM with visitation at 12 PM at Oak Grove Church, 5920 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley. Interment Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
