Ramona (Mona) Marie Andersen, Age 66 of Burnsville, Minnesota passed away peacefully at home Tuesday, July 19. She was surrounded by family and close loved ones. Preceded in death by parents, Thomas and Phyllis; and siblings, Bradley and Michael Andersen. Ramona leaves behind her son, Phillip (Michele); daughters, Elizabeth and Kathryn; grandchildren, Riley, Krysta, Chloe, Brooke, Rose, and Amy; and siblings, Debra (Kevin) Thury, Mark, and David (Roberta) Andersen. Ramona obtained her license in cosmetology early and went on to dedicate over 30 years to her love for her profession and as a result gained many good friends over the years. She was a compassionate person who was always there for a shoulder to lean on or a sympathetic ear to lend. Her energetic smile and contagious laughter drew people to her and had an ability to touch their hearts and make everyone she interacted with feel important and loved. Mona was a nurturing and affectionate mother and friend especially to her children and grandchildren ensuring that she always let everyone know just how much she loved them and how special they were to her. Mona always greeted you with a smile and a hug, along with her enthusiastic voice let you know she was happy to see you. Having grown up in a large family close to her siblings she learned to be strong and protect those close to her.
