Meredythe McCarthy Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

McCarthy, Meredythe age 95, of Wayzata, passed away peacefully surrounded by family on July 3, 2022. Survived by children, Robert Scot Chapman (Mary), Gayle Chapman, Lee Anne Cutler (Brad); grandchildren, Lindsey, LeRoyce, Lee, Carlee; great-grandchildren, Royce, Romy, Yvette, Marcus, Lindsey and Hallee. Preceded in death by sisters, Sue and Carole. Meredythe graduated from Shorewood High School in Milwaukee, WI in 1945. She graduated from Lawrence University with a BA in Music and from Northwestern University with an MA in Music. Later in life she graduated from Adler Institute with an MA in Psychology and Family Counseling. Meredythe was a member of the Midland, MI orchestra where she was a cellist. She was a founding member of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church Pre-School in Duluth, MN. Meredythe was also a member of PEO for 55 years where she held various officer positions, and locally a member of Chapter CA. She had a love of music, art and travel. Meredythe found the good in everyone and was a loving mother and grandmother. She will be deeply missed. A special thanks to the staff at Folkstone and Optage Hospice for the special care and concern shown to Meredythe and her family. Memorial Service 11am Friday July 29th with visitation beginning at 10am at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel, 5000 West 50th St. Edina.
