    Lois Audrey Johnson

    October 17, 1927 - February 12, 2022

Lois Audrey Johnson was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grand-mother, sister and friend. She embraced 94 years of good living, leaving us on Feb. 12, 2022, with her daughter by her side. Lois enjoyed a good mystery novel, chocolate and playing Bridge. Her family would like to extend condolences to all the friends and acquaintances she crushed at the Bridge table. Lois was born in Brainerd on Oct. 17, 1927, to Arthur and Mabel Anderson. She graduated from Milaca High School in 1945. She went on to St. Cloud Teacher College, then taught elementary school for several years in South St. Paul. In 1948, she married Roger T. Johnson of Milaca. For the next 25 years they raised four children, first in Detroit and then in Minnetonka. After their divorce in 1980, Lois went on to establish a ski lodge near Bridger Bowl, MT. She later moved to Sun City, AZ, and had a successful real estate career. Upon retirement, she moved back to Minnesota to live near family. The family thanks the staff of Lilydale Senior Living, where Lois lived the last few years. She is survived by her children Mary Zadach (Paul), Peter Johnson (Betsy), Tim Johnson (Dawn) and Betsy Skagen (Cliff); grandchildren Uriah Blatherwick (Chelsie), Sally Johnson (Alex), Alice Johnson (Mark), Jack Skagen, Isabelle Skagen; great-grandchildren Graham Blatherwick, Oliver Girard, June and Ada Johnson. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and siblings Milton, Dorothy, Marion and John. Memorial service will be Sat. Feb. 26 at Noon at Randolph Heights Presb. Church, 435 Hamline Ave. S., St. Paul. Luncheon to follow. In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the Courage Kenny Rehabilitation Center Golden Valley.
