Julia Jane Miller

Miller, Julia Jane of Minneapolis, a young woman with a big heart, died far too soon on February 5, 2022. She was 24 years old. Julia suffered from severe depression and addiction, and tragically ended her own life. She is survived by her mother, Janella "Jane" Miller of Minneapolis, and sister Elena (Doug ) Scott of Atlanta. She is predeceased by her mother, Meg Sandifer. Julia was born in Guatemala in 1998 and was adopted as an infant, spending her life in Minnesota. She was dearly loved. Those who loved her will miss her kind, loving, and funny spirit. She was always ready with a compliment for her friends and family. Julia loved working with children and assisted in religious education at First Universalist Church, where children gravitated to her calm and loving demeanor. She also enjoyed volunteering at the Animal Humane Society and taking her beloved puppy, Teddy, to the dog park. Julia attended Lake Country School and Brightmont Academy and completed one year of study at Augsburg College. She suffered a stroke in 2018 and hoped to continue her education as her brain continued to heal. She recently worked at Nordstrom. A Celebration of Life will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 30, at First Universalist Church, 3400 Dupont Ave. S., Minneapolis. All are welcome. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Julia's name to Planned Parenthood of Minnesota.
