October 6, 1958 - December 7, 2021
Judith A. Sikich passed away in the early morning of December 7th, 2021, at her home in Eagan. At the time of her passing, she was 63 years old and passed peacefully, with her husband and children at her side, as she transitioned into eternity. Judy was born in Minneapolis, Minnesota, on October 6th, 1958. She was the fourth and youngest child of Donald and Hazel Lingwall, who loved her dearly. Her childhood was spent traveling with family, listening to her parents sing and play music, and fishing on the lake. She looked up to her mother and would imitate her by wearing a dress and purse as a child. She spoke fondly about the adventures she shared with her family and her many great memories growing up. Judy always put family first and cared deeply for her children. She enjoyed cooking large meals for her family and never sat down until she knew everyone had what they needed. She spent much of her free time checking in on her two sons and daughter, and she enjoyed bargain hunting for her grandchildren. She had a great love for Christmas and shared that love with her children and grandchildren. None of us will ever forget how special she made that time of year and the endless gifts and food she would bring us. A truly selfless person, she always put the needs of her family above her own. As a wife, she was committed to her husband, Tim, with unending faithfulness. Their love story would undoubtedly be a box-office smash if it played in theaters, with unforgettable scenes of how Tim won her heart, dancing alone on Saturday nights, and how he proposed to her with a song. Tim anxiously awaits to be reunited with her in paradise and to dance with her again. Since her passing, many have remarked that they will never forget her kind smile and laugh. She truly made an impression on everyone she met. Judy is the cherished wife of Tim Sikich and beloved mother of Steven (Sibel) Terhaar, Dan (Char) Terhaar, and Amanda (Brian) Pavlak. She is missed terribly by her seven grandchildren. Her brother and two sisters mourn her passing while comforting her children, and her nephews and nieces remember her as a loving aunt who cared deeply for each of them. Her legacy will live in our hearts forever, and the joy and love she had for her family will no doubt pass on to countless generations in her memory. Proverbs 31:28-29: "Her children rise up and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her: 'Many women have done excellently, but you surpass them all.'"
