Joseph Boyum

January 27, 1955 - June 16, 2022

Boyum, Joseph Stephen A.K.A. Joe, Joey, Jo-Jo Born January 27, 1965, died on the Feast of Corpus Christi June 16, 2022. Preceded in death by parents, Gloyd and Loretta (Adelmann) Boyum, 3 brothers, Tom, Greg and Jimmy. Joseph will be deeply missed by his surviving brothers and sisters, Mary Green (Joe), Susan Johnson (Gary), Joan Davis (Rick), Bobby (Michelle), Danny, John, Kathy Shelander (Curt), Billy, Paul. He will also be deeply missed by all of his many, many nieces, nephews, cousins and all of his friends. Joseph was born with Down Syndrome #13 of 13 children. We are all in agreement that Joseph was - Hands - down - the "best of the bunch". Being around Joey helped to make us better people. Joseph received the best and most loving care at his group home in Forest Lake. His caretakers were the real heroes. We are thankful to all of them especially Shannon and her unconditional love for Jo-Jo. We believe that Joseph is now safe in the arms of Jesus. He will be our special intercessor in Heaven. We were all blessed beyond measure by the gift of Joey's precious life. Mass of Christian Burial in the Church of the Epiphany, 1900 111th Ave NW, Coon Rapids, Wednesday, June 22, 10:30 AM.
