Jon Quentin Murphy

May 24, 1955 - January 7, 2022

Murphy, Jon Q. Age 66. It is with great sorrow that we announce the unexpected passing of Jon Q. Murphy at his home in Crosslake, MN, where he enjoyed his retirement among the elegant trees and abundant wildlife. Formerly of Northeast Minneapolis, Jon will be missed dearly by his family members and close friends. Jon was preceded in death by his parents Michael and Frances Murphy, and brother William. He is survived by his son Ian (Molly), sister Judith, brothers Kevin and Donald, nieces, and nephews. On February 8th, 2022, Jon was peacefully laid to rest in the Bell Tower Cremation Garden - Peace Columbarium near his mother's grave at Washburn- McReavy Hillside Cemetery located at 2600 19th Ave NE, Minneapolis, MN 55418. At one's convenience, family, friends, and acquaintances are welcome and encouraged to visit Jon at his resting place. A private celebration of life ceremony will be held in the warm month of June 2022. In lieu of flowers or donations, the family asks only for your prayers and kind thoughts of remembrance.
