Olson, Janet M. "Nan" Age 91, of Brooklyn Park MN passed away peacefully on February 19, 2022. Preceded in death by husband of 66 years, Roy G. Olson; parents Helen and Lawrence Hansen; brother Robert Hansen and grandson, Kyle Olson. Survived by daughter Pamela Olson; sons Randy Olson (Julie) and Bradley Olson (Jeannie); 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. Nan will be remembered by legions of friends and family for her energy and wide-ranging talents. A hostess, seamstress, gardener, cook, furniture restorer, carpenter, artisan, electrician, decorator, collector and bargain hunter, Nan was in constant motion, earning the nick-name, "The Energizer Bunny." She was a 3-time recipient of the Brooklyn Park Blossom award. The family historian, she was the conduit of information to and from local and Swedish relatives. Roy and Nan travelled the world, filling their house with objects odd and wonderful. Domestically, they visited every corner of the US, motoring in style in their RV. Always ready to share a story or two (or three), she wrote a book filled with tales of her childhood, early adulthood and colorful family members. In addition to her many accomplishments she was a generous, loving mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She lived a long and full life and will be dearly missed. The hostas surrounding the Pearly Gates have a new attendant. Celebration of Life service will be scheduled later this spring. Details to follow.
