George O'Bryan Bailey, Jr.
July 21, 1935 - March 8, 2022
Bailey, George O'Bryan, Jr. born July 21, 1935, passed away on March 8, 2022 at the age of 86. He was a loving husband and father; smart, generous and not a mean bone in his body. George was never flashy but had his own sense of style. He had a great sense of humor and very dry wit. George will be remembered for his guitar playing, his love of singing folk songs and salty limericks. He was a passionate reader of all types of history and equally loved working with his hands - whether stained glass, woodworking, doing major renovations to his home or working in the garden. George and his wife Lou were world travelers enjoying trips to Peru, China, Turkey, Norway, Egypt and numerous Caribbean islands where they enjoyed snorkeling and scuba diving. He was an avid camper and nature enthusiast who enjoyed spending time outdoors and traveling throughout the west with his wife and kids. George was a marathon runner in his younger days and was still running 5 miles a day into his 70's. He volunteered with Habitat for Humanity and also volunteered helping people with their taxes through various organizations. George is survived by his wife of 62 years, Emmy Lou, their sons, Thomas and James and granddaughter, Danielle. Private family services will be held. Washburn-McReavy.com Edina Chapel 952-920-3996
