Genevieve Audre Graffunder

August 24, 1932 - March 6, 2022

Genevieve (Gen) A. Graffunder, 89, passed away on 3/6/2022. She was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend. Her faith in Jesus Christ was a constant encouragement to everyone around her. She spoke of meeting her savior often and we find peace knowing she is with Jesus. Gen was born in south Minneapolis, MN in 1932 and spent most of her life living in Bloomington, MN. In 1953 she married Ralph Graffunder and they built a beautiful life together including 4 children. After she was unexpectedly widowed in 1991 she was blessed to marry her next door neighbor, John Carlson, in 2004 and they spent 14 wonderful years together. Her talents were many. She enjoyed playing the piano and organ at church, teaching piano lessons, sewing, taking road trips, and spending time at the cabin with her family. She will be greatly missed by her family. She is survived by her children Kerry (Ann-Marie), Paul (Demaris), Tom (Tina), and Amy (Jason); 11 grandchildren; 6 great grand children. Service March 14 at 11AM at Washburn-McReavy with visitation one hour prior.
