Gary Hall

Hall, Gary Frandsen, Sr. On July 7th, 2012, Gary passed away peacefully in his sleep while holding hands with the love of his life, best friend and wife, Jill. For the last two months, Gary exemplified the same strength and dignity he had possessed throughout his too short but amazing life as he fought a very aggressive form of thyroid cancer. Gary was born on September 1, 1941 in San Francisco, CA. Preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Thora Lorraine Hall, and brothers, Art and Robbie Hall. After retiring from National Computer Systems, Gary pursued his love of horseracing and handicapping and founded Frandsen Publishing, a premier software company for the horseracing industry. Gary was a very special man who made an impact on those in his life that were lucky to know him. He was a devoted and loving husband to his wife of 51 years, Jill. Gary was an amazing Dad, grandpa, great-grandpa, brother, son-in-law, uncle and friend. He loved spending time with his wife and family, attending the horse races with Jill and making every day special for the people he loved. Gary is survived by his loving wife, Jill; his children, Kim Sumrell (Bob), Gary Jr, Kristin Becker (Scott), Stacy Hall (Robyn); grandchildren, Sean (Molly), Tiffany (Daren), Ashley, Kelly, Riley, Zackery, Corey, Cameron, Cherish, and Haylee; great-grandchildren, Josiah, Nevaeh, Trayvon, Daijah, Austin and his faithful, furry companion, Buddy. Our family would like to give special thanks to all of the people who helped us through this difficult time. A special thanks to those of you too numerous to name at Park Nicollet - Methodist Hospital, Mayo Clinic, Methodist Hospice Care and Eden Prairie police and emergency personnel. A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, July 14th at 11 AM with visitation starting at 10 AM. The service will be held at Washburn-McReavy EP Chapel, 7625 Mitchell Road, Eden Prairie, MN 55344.
