Emily Anne Dennison

Emily Anne (Borchert) Dennison, of St. Anthony Village, age 84, died of Alzheimer's disease on Thursday, March 24, 2022. She is survived by her daughters, Jennifer (Herb) Struss and Becky Dennison, and grandchildren Samantha and Herbert Struss, and preceded in death by sisters Connie Dietrich and Phyllis Borchert and husband Donald Dennison. Emily was born on July 24, 1937, in Mankato, Minnesota, to William and Florence Borchert of Mapleton, MN. She graduated from Mapleton High School in 1955, from Mankato State University with a B.A. in 1959, and earned an M.A. in Early Childhood Education from the University of Minnesota in 1998. Emily was a longtime member of Faith United Methodist Church in St. Anthony Village, and taught in and directed their preschool program for many years. Always a lover of music and singing, she was a devoted member of the North Suburban Community Chorus, and of the Faith Methodist church choir for 30 years. Emily also loved travel, dancing, movies and plays, and spending time with her family and friends. A funeral will be held on Monday, March 28, at 5:00 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 2708 33rd Avenue N.E., with a visitation at 4:00 p.m. Private interment will be at Hillside Cemetery. Memorials preferred in lieu of flowers to Alzheimer's Association or Breast Cancer Foundation.
