Duane R. Ullrich Duane Robert Ullrich age 79, passed away March 24, 2022 from colon cancer at his home in Rockport, TX with his wife of 56 years by his side. Duane, born to Clifford Ullrich and Beverly (Busby) Ullrich on July 13, 1942. Survived by his wife, Eileen (Dobie); children, Scott (Schelli) Ullrich and Susan Spindler; grandchildren, Nicole (Henry) Rodenborg, Andrew Ullrich, Wesley (Caroline) Spindler, William Ullrich, Matthew Spindler and Zachary Ullrich; and great-grandchildren, Ryleigh, McKenzie, Benjamin and Madison Rodenborg, Aaron Matiash and Maxx Spindler. Also survived by brothers, LeRoy (Nancy) Ullrich and Mark Ullrich; sisters, Cathy (Jim) Shaw, Bonnie (Ken) Stepan, Dawn (Mike) Michels; sister-in-law, Lois Ullrich as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by parents, grandparents, Bob and Agnes Busby; brother, Rick Ullrich and uncle, Robby Busby. Duane grew up on a farm outside of Lake Crystal, MN and graduated from Lake Crystal School in 1960. He served in the Army Reserve for 6 years, moved to the Twin Cities, became a State Farm Insurance adjuster in 1969 and became an insurance agent in 1973 in Coon Rapids until he retired in 2005 after 34 years. Duane enjoyed fishing trips, travelling to different places and finally settled down in Rockport, TX. He enjoyed coming back to Minnesota in the spring and spending time with family. Especially picnics on the back deck. He was always busy with projects of some kind and the first to help when anyone needed it. Evening visitation to be held April 26th from 5-8PM at Washburn-McReavy Coon Rapids Chapel. Memorial Service to be held Wednesday, April 27th at 11AM at St. Stephen's Catholic Church in Anoka with a visitation beginning at 10AM at church. Luncheon to follow at the Anoka American Legion.
