Dolliff Douglas A. Dolliff, age 72, of Mpls and Naples, FL. Survived by beloved wife, Norma; sons, Phil and wife Suzanne and their son Chris; Doug, Jr. and wife Tracy and their daughters Maddie and Meghan; Andy and wife Kerry and their children Lily, Sean and Grace; step-children, Frank Hayer and wife Nan and their children Eric, Greta, Bianca and Mack; Nancy Hayer; Laura Hogan and husband Frank and their children Jack, Martha, and Danny; brother, Roger and wife Mary; brother-in-law, Lowell Breyer; sister-in-law, Doris and husband Elwood Huepenbecker; nieces, nephews, relatives and many dear friends. Graduate of Blake School and the University of Minnesota. Served in the U.S. Army as a first lieutenant. Former president of Dolliff Insurance and principal since 1948. Recipient of WCCO Good Neighbor Award. Member Minikahda Club. Board member Washburn Child Guidance Center. Charter member Mpls. Uptown Rotary. Member of the Ethics Committee for the Hennepin County District Bar Assn. Charter member and former president Mpls. Metro Gyro and District 7 governor. Member Zuhrah Temple of the Shrine "Jesters" and the Scottish Rite. Board member Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity. Former warden St. Paul's Episcopal Church. Honored alumni University of Minnesota. Member Classic Car Club of America. Volunteer for The Conservancy of Southwest Florida and charter member of the Naples Cay Assn. Beachhouse. Doug enjoyed hobbies including hunting and skeet shooting, squash, skiing, fishing, boating and golf (hole- in-one in 2002). Most importantly, he enjoyed family and entertaining his cherished friends. Memorials may be directed to the American Lung Assn., the Minneapolis Uptown Rotary Foundation or The Madison Center (www.themadisoncenter.org.) or Conservancy of Southwest Florida. A special thanks to Drs. Dean Fox and Jason Reed and all the nurses on Station 10 at Abbott N.W. for their loving care. Memorial service Thursday, Nov. 18, 11 AM at St. Paul's Episcopal Church, 1917 Logan Ave. S., Mpls. Private interment.
