Knight, Dolores M. Passed away on April 12, 2022 in Bloomington, MN on her 87th birthday. She previously lived in San Antonio, TX, Dallas, TX and Brooklyn Center, MN. Preceded in death by husband, James Knight. Survived by brother, Donald Bowers, Gaylord, MN and sister Margaret Chase (Roger), Wittenburg, WI; children, Judy Knight, Bloomington, MN, Jeff Knight (Marcella), San Antonio, TX, Jim Knight (Sou), Livermore, CA and Janice Woodrum (Scott), Longmont, CO; and grandchildren, Kylie, Jake, Jacob and Christopher. Dolores was born in Wrightstown, WI and lived in Seymour, WI and Glencoe, MN before graduating from Glencoe HS in 1953. She was a member of GAA and participated in many sports including tennis, softball and gymnastics. She also sang with her sister in the church choir. She met and married husband James in 1958 while working for NWNL. After her first child was born, she became a stay at home mom, prolific baker, carpool driver and volunteer. She continued to stay active, bowling in her Wednesday ladies league and riding her tandem bike proudly through the neighborhood. Her many volunteer activities included St Alphonsus ladies guild and the Christmas bazaar, CEAP, Palmer Lake VFW ladies auxiliary, PTA and serving as school nurse mother. When she wasn't volunteering, she was going to or hauling kids to athletic events in her station wagon. In 1978, she moved to TX with her husband and family. A funeral mass will be held at St John the Apostle Catholic Church in North Richland Hills, TX at 11AM on May 12th, 2022 with luncheon to follow. Interment at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Rowlett, TX.
