September 8, 1968 - June 13, 2022 Age 53, of Andover Minnesota. Passed away unexpectedly is now reunited with her Mom and Dad in heaven. Darla was born on September 8, 1968. Darla along with her parents and siblings lived in Andover MN. Darla graduated from Coon Rapids High School in 1987. Darla was the youngest an only daughter to her parents who loved, adored, and spoiled her. Darla enjoyed her life being a mother to her three children, BriAnna, Cole and JayLee, whom she deeply loved. She spent a lot of time with her children traveling, cooking, playing games, and going to dinners at their favorite places. Darla's favorite trips with her children were going to see family in California, and when Cole graduated from Marine Corps boot camp. She was one proud mama. You could also find her at the horse stable's with JayLee or riding ATV's and being in the outdoors at Bri and Ben's. She was a Nana (grandmother) and wore that title proudly. She spent a lot of time with her grandchildren, Ryan and Aiden cooking, shopping for them, helping them do their chores and playing games or trucks. Never leaving them without hugs and kisses and "I love You". Darla truly enjoyed family time with her siblings Jeff (Angie), and Troy. Going for breakfast at Lake Café, watching movies, trips to Duluth always stopping at Coney Island. Trips in the RV were so much fun for her. They meant the world to her. When Darla was not off somewhere doing her own thing, you could find her at her favorite Aunt Joan's house talking or enjoying dinner. Or, at Michelle and Jeff Kirchner's house with the whole family playing cards, watching favorite shows, or at the racetrack, being a pit crew member. The holidays were the best, spending time with their children. Darla made the best pumpkin bars per Jeff, she always brought them knowing Jeff would eat half of the pan! Darla was a wonderful woman, who loved her family and friends deeply. She was creative, loved to laugh, helped anyone who needed it. Spending time with family and friends filled her life with joy. Darla is preceded in death by parents Buzz (Keith) and Sandra King. Survived by her children BriAnna Kirchner (Ben Jahnz), Cole Kirchner (Bill Russell), and JayLee Olson. Her two grandsons, Ryan Hatella, and Aiden Jahnz. Sibling's Jeff and Angie King, Troy King and Rafel King. Her Aunt Joan. Friends Jeff and Michelle Kirchner and their family. Darla will be missed by everyone that loved her and will miss her big heart. Thank you to everyone who has reached out to the family who have shared all of the special stories about her. Visitation will be held at Washburn-McReavy Funeral Chapel 1827 Coon Rapids Boulevard, Coon Rapids, MN on Sunday, June 26, 2022. Visitation at 12 noon, service at 1:00 pm. We will gather at the Coon Rapids VFW Post 9625, 1919 Coon Rapids Boulevard, Coon Rapids, MN to celebrate and share stories of her life. Burial private on a different date.
