Bruce Edward Brabec
May 4, 1957 - April 4, 2022
Bruce Edward Brabec was born on May 4th, 1957 to proud parents, Bob and Dode Brabec. He graduated from Braham High School in 1975. He then graduated from Gustavus Adolphus College in 1979. When asked why he chose his major of Political Science, he answered that it was the one he already had the most credits towards achieving. Bruce (aka BB) had a gift of bringing people together and making them feel special. He loved people for exactly who they were. Often his Bruce-isms had others cracking up, including, but not limited to...his response after sharing something that you wanted: "Christmas is coming." His response after taking too long to make a decision: "Sh*t or get off the pot." And of course, his response after complaining of a body ache, but havent taken meds yet: "Don't be a hero, take the drugs." His sense of humor was sharp and straight to the point. Bruce's love for music ran deep, it was the language of his soul. He could hear beyond the lyrics and melodies, to a place few venture to go. Listening to his favorite albums with him was sure to take you on a ride through time and space. Bruce loved his family very much, and always supported their dreams. He will be greatly missed by his wife, Jane, his mother, Dode, his daughter and son-in-law, Ashley and Jason, and his grandkids Max and Veda. Family and friends alike will also miss his presence, love, and hot topic Facebook debates. Rest easy, Bruce, we love you.
