Brian Patrick Pote

August 27, 1973 - January 21, 2022

Pote, Brian Patrick 48, of Edina, MN, passed away on Friday, January 21, 2022 in Winona, MN. Brian was a kind, gentle person with a wry sense of humor. He was always looking out for those he met and was a loyal friend who was generous and kind to all. After growing up in Edina, MN, Brian moved to Fort Myers Beach, FL where he enjoyed his time on the warm Florida beach. Brian enjoyed cooking for friends and family, fishing for hours, whether in the Gulf of Mexico or a local lake in Minnesota. He was a talented athlete regardless of the sport: baseball, soccer, hockey, catching sharks, and a jack of all trades: a guy who could do anything. He will be deeply missed by his friends and family, but his family hopes that he is finally at peace and free from the struggles of addiction, a disease he was sadly unable to overcome. Brian is preceded in death by his loving mother, Joann "Joey" Pote. He is survived by his family: father, David Pote; brothers, Kevin (Meghan), Brendan, Colin (Samantha); stepmother, Linda Tapsak (Eugster); stepbrothers, Nick (Mariah) and Wilson (Chelsea); nieces and nephews, Kaeleen, Liam, Connor, Crosby, Lochlan, Lennon, Jack, and Elsa.
