Billie Woodburn Miller
October 12, 1999 - January 19, 2022
Billie Woodburn Miller 1999-2022 Billie is an angel now. She is in a wonderful place where there is music, movies, dancing, discussing and debating, reading and writing to her heart's content. And there is peace. Her impact on everyone is deep, rich and beautiful. Her energy filled the room whenever Billie was near. Her beaming smile, contagious laugh, and fierce hugs. Her undeniable warmth, infectious energy, depth of intelligence, and her beautiful and joyful soul, all will fill our hearts and memories forever. Billie set a remarkable example of compassion, tolerance, pride, patience, understanding, loyalty and love, even in the darkest of times. Her loving spirit and compassionate soul made such a big difference in the lives of so many. She pursued a wide-ranging appetite for movies, music and books that she passed down to her siblings and friends, who learned the life lessons of her cultural influence to expand their tastes and join her in their love of it all. She was proud to introduce yet another obscure movie they had never heard of, but one they would happily watch, once convinced to. Her enthusiasm and passion made it easier for others to try new things, because they were things she loved. Billie, we know you're up there smiling down on all of us, beaming your love and peace, while we listen to your favorite songs, watch your favorite movies and remember you. You taught every single one of us to be unapologetically ourselves, you didn't care what other people thought and taught us to be the same. You were incredibly sensitive, vulnerable, brave, kind, funny, and silly, and you cared so much for everyone you loved. You were always the happiest and most vibrant soul in any room. We loved your wit, your selflessness, your wholehearted joy. In life, we always think we have more time, another chance, a "See you later". Our lesson, as seen so clearly now, is "How we wish we could've told you, one more time". Billie, we know you thought Chihiro was brave, but you were so much braver. You can rest now. Her influence on the lives of those she loved was far greater than her earthly being could imagine, and continues in our lives forever. Billie is survived by her mother, Mary Stennes, and father, Tony Miller. Step-parents, Tasha Miller and David Stennes. Her 4 sisters and brothers, Sam, Evelyn, Vivian and Henry Miller. Her 5 step-siblings, Lauryn and Matt Stennes, Luke (Maddie) Stennes Basil, Luca and Bohden Cervenka. Her grandparents, Bob and Nan Woodburn. Billie is preceded in death by grandparents, Joe Miller and Gail Miller. Long live the beauty of Billie, that comes down and through and onto all of us.
