Audrey Ruth Hanson

July 7, 1927 - May 20, 2022

Audrey R Hanson, long term resident of Brooklyn Park, passed away early May 20th, 2022 at Beehive Homes in Elk River at 94 years of age. She's now been reunited with the love of her life and husband of a short 34 years, Billy G Hanson. Audrey was a devoted Mother, Grandmother, and Friend to all who got to know her. Audrey was a 60+ year member of Winslow Lewis and Martha Chapter of OES. She is preceded in death by husband, Billy Hanson; mother, Ruth Broude; father, William Thorburn; sisters, Annabelle and Evelyn; and great-grandson, Daniel Antonio Peso Jr. Audrey is survived by her 5 children, Patty (Paul) Porter, Bruce (Mary) Hanson, Marietta (Jerry) Mason, Tom (Janice) Hanson, Barb (Sergio) Herrera; 12 grandchildren, Michael (Stefani) Porter, William Porter, George (Natalie) Hanson, Chevis (Dan) Peso, Andy (Cassie) Hanson, Rigo Rivas, Laura Hanson, Julio Herrera, Rachel (Scott) Vadnais, Emily Hanson, Mauro Herrera, Marietta (Sam Volkert) Herrera; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren. Memorial service will be on Friday, June 3rd, at 1 PM at Washburn McReavy Crystal Lake Chapel, 3816 Penn Ave N, Minneapolis, MN. Visitation one hour prior. Burial immediately following the service at Crystal Lake Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations are preferred to Dementia/Alzheimer's and/or Diabetes research.
