ARLEEN E. DAHL Edina, MN; Naples, FL - Arleen E. Dahl, 93, peacefully passed away at home December 4, 2021. Born July 22, 1928, Minneapolis, MN, only child of loving parents A. F. Edwin Johnson & J. S. Amanda (Sorensen) Johnson. Arleen graduated 1946, South High, Minneapolis, a flag twirler in the marching band. She married the love of her life, Warren Alton Dahl, December 7, 1946. She raised her family & worked for Richfield Public Schools, at Elliott Elementary as the head cook. Arleen was involved in many activities including: Eastern Star (72 years; Past Matron), Jobs Daughters (Past Guardian), supporting her husband with the Masons & Shriners, Girl Scout Leader, Edina Women's Club, Naples Women's Club (2nd VP 2002-2004), Royal Wood County Club, Philharmonic League, going to her lake place (Deer Lake, WI), & wintering in Florida. Other interests included: bowling, gardening club, golfing, fishing, playing cards (especially bridge & gin rummy with her husband), traveling, shopping, & collecting shells & making crafts with them. Arleen loved her family. She enjoyed spending time with family & friends & hosted many events. She loved participating in many activities & had an endless amount of energy. She was a world traveler & her favorite trip was with her family of 10 on a WCCO, Ray Christiansen cruise through the Panama Canal in 1996 to celebrate her 50th anniversary. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, Warren A. Dahl (72 years; co-owner of Ingebretsen's Scandinavian Center), son-in-law, Richard J. Christofersen, in-laws, brother-in-law & spouse, & sister-in-law & spouse. Surviving are her daughter, Carolyn Christofersen & son, Steven (Micki) Dahl; grandchildren, Jon (Jennifer) Christofersen Sr., Carrie (Mike) McElwaine, Lenae Dahl, & Travis Dahl; & great grandchildren, Jon Jr. "Jack" & Julia Christofersen, Matt & Emily McElwaine, Logan & Lucas Dahl, & Viola Dahl; & a host of loving friends & relatives. Services will be held January 6, 2022 at Mount Olivet Lutheran Church, 5025 Knox Ave. S., Minneapolis, MN 55419 (10am viewing, 11am funeral, 12pm luncheon) & Fort Snelling National Cemetery (2pm burial). Pastor K. Kalland will be officiating. Donations may be sent to Mount Olivet Lutheran Church.
