Anne Farrar Painter
December 6, 1956 - February 23, 2022
Ogden, Anne P. 65 years old, died on February 23 of Alzheimer's disease. She is survived by her husband of 41 years, Kirby Ogden, children Elise (Andrew), Parker (Molly) and twin grandsons Casey and Logan, born in 2021. Anne also has five siblings who survive her, eleven nieces and nephews, and many good friends. Anne had a successful and fulfilling career in healthcare management in Minneapolis from 1985 to 2014. She graduated from St. Lawrence University, and attained her graduate degree from University of Michigan. Anne showed us all how to live a rich and meaningful life. She reminded us that life is made of many small moments, and she created innumerable experiences with us that we will always treasure. Anne cared deeply about people. When she entered the room, her earnestness, love, and respect for others left you feeling that not only do you matter, but that relationships are always the most important thing. Anne encouraged adventure, generosity, kindness, and honesty. She had a strong moral compass that was beautifully balanced by her playfulness. Anne's wise counsel was sought by many. She carried on strong family traditions and created many of her own. Despite our heartbreak over losing Anne's physical presence, she lives on in our hearts as we strive to live our lives as a tribute to her own. We are all grateful to Abiitan Memory Care where Anne spent the last year of her life in good and gentle hands, as well as Ecumen Hospice care over the last month. In lieu of flowers, we welcome contributions to Anne's favorite charities: Planned Parenthood or Second Harvest Food Pantry. A celebration of her life will be held Saturday June 4 at 1:00 pm at Lakewood Cemetery Chapel. A reception will follow.
