December 1, 1948 - December 22, 2021
At about 9am on 12/22/21 we lost Susan Leddick unexpectedly and abruptly. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Jack and her son and daughter, Andrew and Emily. Her funeral will be held at 2pm on 1/8/22 at the Edina chapel of Washburn McReavy and will be laid to rest finally in Oak Grove cemetery in Montegue, Michigan. She was born Alice Susan Price, oldest daughter of Max and Bernice Price, in Donipnan, Missouri on 12/1/48. Her brother, Gary Price, preceded her in death in 1997. Her sister, Jan Wood lives near Springfield, Missouri. After graduating at the top of her class in Doniphan, she earned her bachelors degree from the University of Missouri - Columbia, masters degree from the University of Missouri - St. Louis and doctorate of education from Western Michigan University. She was a consultant in organization design for over three decades. Susan founded her company, PKR on the principles of W. Edwards Deming, her friend and mentor. Over time, she learned the theory and methods of social system design from the late Russell Ackoff and Jamshid Gharajedaghi, applying these theories to drive improvement in the private and public sectors. The lifelong friends she made growing up in a small town and during long workshops brought vibrant colors to her stories and real warmth to her life. Gatherings with her far-flung immediate and extended family was always sparkling with her newest kitchen exploits and hilarious recounts-she had a way of remembering dialogue like no other. When you traveled with Susan, you met fabulous people doing wonderful, important work that she counted among her dearest friends. If you were lucky enough to have known her, you'll remember her wit, her insight and you'll likely remember her forever. Memorial service will be held at 2PM on Saturday, January 8th with visitation one hour prior, all at Washburn-McReavy Edina Chapel.
