William Martin Montroy

Our beloved father Master Sergeant William Martin Montroy, born May 23,1935, peacefully went to heaven July 31,2026. By his side were his son David, and daughter Dianne and his beloved dog, Nikki. Proceeding him in death were his parents, Vernon Martin and Helen Mae Montroy, granddaughter Kristi Lynn Olson, grandson Nicolas Glaza, his beloved wife of 67 years Shirley Montroy, before losing her to breast cancer, to be follow by the recent loss of his 1st born son, our brother, Michael Montroy, from lung cancer. Proceeded in life by Kathy Marie Byrkit (Montroy), David Paul Montroy and Dianne Elizabeth. His Grandson Jason Montroy, his wife Mandi and 3 children, his other granddaughter Amanda Glaza a nd her 2 children. His Brother Vernon Montroy, sister Barb Kolesar and Richard Montroy. Very sad day indeed to lose such a great man, father and brother. Your respect and love for your country will not go unnoticed Master Sergeant William Montroy! To us kids you were simply dad, to your siblings you were their big brother. As our father, dad was extremely patient, always listening objectivity and offering wise advise. A man with integrity and compassion, who lived by the golden rule.Thank you for a life of love and every moment shared together. Your light will shine bright in our hearts forever. You touched so many lives and made a difference. You were very smart. You even taught your Marine Corps instructor a thing or 2 about electronics to the point, he had you teaching the class! You were a major part of the church as well, being involved with such as Knights of Columbus (you made Grand Puba), to being Eucharistic ministers with Mom. Your involvement with being Cub/boys scout leader you always had adventures. Like seeing if you could get the whole entire troop inside your van which was a little over 20 children I believe you said! Your love for the outdoors made our childhood a blast! Taught us fishing even though you never caught that walleye. You taught us to water ski the biggest lesson there was to always remember to let go of that rope! There are so many stories for such a grand man who led 91 beautiful years of life we thank God for gifting you to us we will miss you and love you. Till we meet again, Love you forever Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday August 20th at 11:00 AM at the Church of Saint Gerard Majella 9600 Regent Ave. N Brooklyn Park, mn. 55443. Visitation one prior to service from 10:00 AM t to 11:00 AM. Lunch will follow the Mass
