Wallace Harvey Syverson

Tuesday, June 2, 2020 was the day Wallace Harvey Syverson entered eternal peace, rest and joy. The grace of forgiveness and redemption were woven into the life of his family; in the end bearing the fruit of love. Wallace was born in Ulen, MN in Sept 1929 and spent his early life there. He is the last of his brothers to pass from this life. His family was known as the Syversons with the round barn. Wallace and Irene L Lien were married in Flom, MN in June 1951. They made their home in the Minneapolis and St Paul areas, and there were six children born to this union. They later divorced. Wallace later married Doris Page of Minneapolis, and they also divorced. Wallace retired from a steel company in the late 1980’s. He is predeceased by his parents Oscar S Syverson and Clara Jenzer, infant brother Garfield, brothers Clinton, Aldus, Shelvin, Lowell, Dean, John. He is also predeceased by son in law John Hoffman, and grandson Steven Walker. Survived by children Cheryl (David) Braton of Pelican Rapids, MN, Theresa Hoffman of Gilbert, AZ , Jean (Stanley) Walker of Moorhead, MN, Denise (Steven) Warner of Rochester, WA, Gabriel (Audrey Sparks) Gudding of Bloomington, IL, Kristin Syverson of Fargo, ND Survived by grandchildren Matthew (Shelley) Braton of Eden Prairie, MN , Michael (Torsten) Braton-Kampus of Pulheim, Germany, Sarah (Phillip) Gleason of Richfield, MN , Seth Hoffman of Olympia, WA, Nathan (Taylor) Hoffman of Gilbert, AZ, Bethany Hoffman at home, James (Kirsten Birst) Walker of Minneapolis , Jennifer Walker at home , Bronze (Carrie) Warner of Centralia, WA , Hope (Aaron) Hoegenauer of McKinney, TX, Olivia (Brayden) Anderson of Bucoda, WA , Spencer Warner, at home, Clio Byrne-Gudding of Los Angeles, CA, Levi Syverson-Ness, at home. Survived by great grandchildren Hannah, Noah, Isaiah Braton, Adair and James Hoffman, Roderick and Quinton Warner, Matthew Hoegenauer, Jackson Anderson, Indy Gleason. Survived also by three sisters- in- law, many cousins, nieces and nephews. Gratitude is expressed by the family for the loving and respectful care given by Mission Nursing Home in Plymouth, MN and Brookdale Hospice of MN. Memorials preferred to these two agencies. Dad did not wish to have a formal funeral, per his wishes, an immediate family remembrance will be observed this summer.
