Terri Woelfle

Woelfle, Theresa Marie (Terri) Age 72, of Crystal, went home to be with her Lord peacefully on January 12, 2026. Preceded in death by her parents, Frederick Marvin and Audrey Joan Green, and brother Steve (Pauline) Green. She is survived by husband of 53 years, Wesley, children Anne (Bradford) Bolsem, Christopher, Colin (Whitney), and Heather (Kent) Johnson, and eight beloved grandchildren, Elias, Barrett, Evelyn, Finn, Easton, Adele, Gus, Lindsay, along with brother Bob (Jennifer) Green and beloved members of her extended family. Terri was born in Canton, SD and graduated from Bloomington Kennedy High School in 1971. She first met Wes when he served as her crossing guard at Riverside Elementary School in Bloomington, MN, and the two eventually became high school sweethearts before being married in 1972. Terri's life-long dream was to be a mother and grandma, modeling her life after her own beloved mother, Audrey, and grandmother, Gladys. The Lord fulfilled this dream, and Terri faithfully and joyfully inhabited these roles to her final earthly breath. Terri was a skilled and talented seamstress, learning to sew from her own mother, and used those skills to outfit her children, decorate her home, tailor clothing for family and friends, and costume countless students in the Robbinsdale Cooper High School music and theater programs. Terri had a deep, strong, and humble faith in Jesus Christ, and throughout her lifetime served local congregations at Westwood Baptist Church of Bloomington, Creek Valley Baptist Church of Edina, and Oak Grove Church of Golden Valley. She taught Sunday school to pre-school and school-aged children throughout her life and, in later years, served as a "verse listener" to children learning Bible verses each Wednesday night at the Oak Grove Awana program. Many know her for the elaborately-themed VBS week she coordinated every summer, which included the annual "mission project," a church-wide collection of school supplies to support the education of children and families served by local chapters of the Salvation Army. Terri believed deeply in education, inspiring all four of her children to pursue careers in the instruction and development of future generations. Terri and Wes enjoyed 53 years of devoted and faithful marriage. Her quiet, steady presence, readily available listening ear, and gentle counsel will be missed by all those who knew her, leaned on her, and loved her dearly. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, January 24 at Oak Grove Church, 5920 Golden Valley Road, Golden Valley, Minnesota. Visitation will begin an hour before the service; a luncheon will follow.
