Theodore Robert ('Ted') Edin

Edin, Theodore Robert "Ted" age 82, of Edina, passed into eternal life on Saturday, August 27, 2016. Ted was born in Hinckley, MN on August 12, 1934 to Theodore and Besse Edin. He was raised in Milaca, MN, graduating in 1952. Ted achieved the rank of Eagle Scout during his high school years. He was co-captain of his football team, active in band playing trumpet and was a member of the basketball team. Ted graduated from the U of M 1956 and was a loyal member of Delta Kappa Epsilon fraternity making lifelong friendships. Post graduation, Ted was employed by Westinghouse and served in the U.S. Army for 6 months. He received his MBA from the U of M in 1959 and worked for Jostens for 23 years, followed by a career with Tharpe Company for 12 years. Ted received numerous recognition awards for his performance from both companies. He was a man of faith, sang in several church choirs and enjoyed playing piano and tenor saxophone. Ted loved classical jazz, big bands, symphonic music and his most recent labrador companion, Amber. Ted was well traveled and enjoyed many mountain downhill ski vacations, sailing at the Wisconsin cabin and boating on Lake Minnetonka. Preceded in death by parents, and sister, Emolin Erickson. Ted is survived by his wife, Judith "Judy"; sons, Mark Edin, Theodore Jr. "Teddy" (Amara) Edin; grandson, Mark Edin, Jr. Ted was a bright, witty, a true political junky and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. May he now rest in peace. The family wishes to thank Ted's loyal DKE "Brothers in the Bond" and his Milaca H.S. buddies for their friendship and support.
