Tamikkia Hamilton Brown Sunrise June 29, 1977- Sunset July 12, 2021 Tamikkia Brown Hamilton, affectionally known as "Mikkia", was born in Warner Robins, GA. on June 29, 1977, to the union of Mae Bell (James Ronald Castro) and Joseph Brown (who proceeded her in death). Tamikkia accepted Christ as Lord and Savior at an early age, and attended First Tabernacle Baptist Church in Gary, Indiana. Tamikkia received her education from both Indiana and Minnesota Board of Education. She developed a love for sports and was a star basketball player and cheerleader during school. Tamikkia was very resourceful, ambitious, strong, and knowledgeable. Graduating with honors from Kennedy High School in 1995. She went on to train for her professional career attending and completing college in 1998 at Minnesota School of Business with an associate degree. Tamikkia was united in holy matrimony to the love of her life, David Hamilton on February 14, 2002. She was a zealous and devoted wife for 19 years. Together, David & Tamikkia raised 3 beautiful children. She was a strong mother and grandmother not only to her children/ grandchildren, but to many. She was the backbone, the coach, and the cheerleader to her family, whose photos she would share with prospective friends on facebook. Tamikkia held various jobs as an outstanding customer service representative for over 22 years. She carried countless accolades, awards and recognitions for her exceptional attendance and excellent performance of service to reputable companies, such as Wells Fargo Home Mortgage and Target Corporation Headquarters. Tamikkia loved attending basketball games for and with her children. There was no hesitation or limitations in what she would do for her family. She traveled near or far to see them participate in basketball, or other activities. She was the adhesive that held the parents together at these activities. Tamikkia was a great cook, she loved southern food, boiled peanuts, and crab legs. Tamikkia LaShawn Brown Hamilton entered eternal life on Monday, July 12, 2021. Tamikkia will join her Father, Joseph Brown. Paternal Grandmother: Andrew and Gerlene Fields Brown; Mary Brown and Benjamin Smith; Maternal Grandparents: Rollie and Marie Crawford. Aunt: Dora Basley, and Diane Brown (Willie), and Uncle: Herman Perry in the heavenly realms. Her spirit is carried on by her beloved best friend and husband of 19 years, David Hamilton; Parents: James Ronald, and Mae Bell Castro; Mother-in-law: Abbye Hamilton; Three loving children; Jasmine, Alexanderia, and Wendell: Four grandchildren, Kashmere, Aleya, Kai'Anne, and Jayceon. three surviving siblings, Angela Crawford (Drew), Shawn, Barbara and Michael Brown, Kia, Michael, and Tatiana Castro: A host of in laws, aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews. Also, an extended family of relations and friends too numerous to list but not forgotten. She often gave nick names to those she was very fond of, so, if you have one cherish it. We are blessed to have so many precious memories with her.
